Executive Director – Kelly McCoy Meade
Kelly began her work with the Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley over 30 years ago when she was an undergraduate student at Radford University. Over the course of her career, Kelly has held multiple roles at the WRC, contributing to the organization’s growth, stability, and survivor-centered services. Her return to the WRC in March of 2025 provides us with the deep benefit of her experience, skills, and commitment to the mission and values of the WRC, and of her knowledge of the New River Valley community.
In addition to her work with the WRC, Kelly serves on the Governor’s Task Force of the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Program Professional Standards Committee. In 2019 she received the Pioneer award from the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance for her commitment to providing services in the state.
As executive director, Kelly is focused on providing the very best programs and services to survivors of sexual and domestic violence and ensuring that the WRC remains a trusted, responsive resource for adults and children throughout the New River Valley.
